Today my topic is about what scholarship is and how to get it. A scholarship is an award of financial aids for a student to continue in his/her study or go further for their education. Scholarship is awarded based upon various criteria which are reflecting to the values and purposes of the founder or donor of the award. In scholarship money is not required to pay again. People with international scholarships can study abroad like USA, UK, Canada Australia, China, Cyprus etc.

The common scholarship can be classified as many types. Merit based scholarship are awarded on the basis of students’ academic artists or other abilities. The common scholarship awarded by Intended School, College or University academy achievement high score on standard tests. This scholarship has given by institutions directly to students and they don't need to pay.


The second type of scholarship is need based. Some private awarded. However scholarship is often merit based while grants to get to be need based. Third type of scholarship is student specific. This scholarship is for which applicant must first qualify based upon gender religion, family and medical history. Minority scholarship is the most common award in this category. Fourth is career specific scholarship a college or university awards to the students who plan to pursue a specific field of study. College specific scholarship is given to those students who are highly qualified. These scholarships are given to the base of his personal achievement.


Merit scholarship can be based on a number of criteria including good performance in a particular school, college, university and there so many scholarships like brand scholarship, creative contest scholarship mean which is awarded to the contest students. These all are types of the scholarship which we can get through our handwork, talent and skills.
